This is RockFleet Castle, also know as Carrickahowley Castle, is located on Clew Bay just north of Westport in County Mayo. RockFleet Castle, even though small was one of the more unique castles we went to. You could enter the castle, the ground fllor was still dirt and there were wooden stairs to the upper levels of the castle. You can see the fireplaces and climb to the top floors of the castle. RockFleet castle is was the home of Grace O'Malley, a pirate sea queen in the late 16th century.
