Connemara National Park

Connemara National Park is one of the most amazing parts of Ireland. I thought it was one of the most beautiful areas that I saw. The mountains, bogs, lakes, streams and views in this area of Ireland are fantastic. Located west of Galway and south of Westport in County Galway, the area is extremely diverse with ocean scenery and mountain lakes. Connemara is a major Bog area, a lot of peat is cut here to burn as fuel in homes instead of wood. This area is a must see of you are planning a trip to Ireland, especially the trip up the sky road near Clifden, unreal. Watch out for the sheep dogs as you drive up the sky road, maybe bring an orange with you to give to the dogs. For more information and additional pictures on Connemara visit Connemara.net
